Frequently Asked Questions
If you have any questions about my practices, expectations, advice etc, you can find that information here. If you have any other questions that haven't been covered here, please contact me from the About page.
How Can I Make an Appointment?
After you complete a submission (here) you will receive an email response regarding cost, and scheduling details. We book through Square where you will be able to choose times that are congruent with each of us.
Do you offer Touch Ups?
Yes! Touch ups within 60 days of your appointment are a free courtesy to guarantee the best results of your piece. Any touch ups requested after the 60 day period will be charged at the minimum, or hourly depending on work load. However, touch ups can be bundled with new tattoos for no cost.
What do I need for a Deposit?
Deposits are handled through the Square booking site; depending on your appointment details, you will be asked to pay either a $20, $50, $100, or $200 retainer to schedule your appointment remotely with a debit or credit card. These fees can also be paid in cash at the shop.
What happens if I'm late to my appointment?
Please have the courtesy to let me know if you're running late. I have a 15 minute window with communication, anything later than 30 minutes will require a reschedule and second retainer. Lateness without prior communication is regarded as a no call/no show and if I don't hear from you 15 minutes after your appointment time, you will be black listed.
What do your services cost?
-
Custom tattoos are priced at a minimum of $100 for anything under an hour, and $150/hour beyond that.
-
Cover up tattoos are $200/hour.
-
Predrawn designs are priced at a minimum for their starting size. Increasing size increases price hourly, and are typically listed at lower prices.
Can I reschedule?
48+ Hours Notice: You can reschedule. Your retainer will be transferred for use within 6mo.
Within 48 Hours: Reschedules within 48 hours are at my discretion and may require a second retainer.
No Call No Show: No call no shows result in blacklisting, except for genuine emergencies.
Can I get a refund on my retainer?
Deposits are refundable within 24 hours of purchase and with cancellation of your appointment. After 24 hours they are no longer refundable
Business Things
What happens if you're sick or late?
I give the same courtesy of communication. If I am in need of rescheduling, I will try to give as much notice as possible, but I am also human and some things aren't controllable. If I am sick in any way, I will most likely not tattoo you, I don't believe its fair to compromise my ability and expect you to not pay for a compromised tattoo. I will offer dates to reschedule, or refund your deposit.
Can I request modifications to a design during the appointment?
Yes! I show work the day of the appointment, but I always set time aside in case we need to make some changes. Never be afraid to speak up about wanting to change something. Usually, modifications are just much easier in person!
How can I prepare for my appointment?
Be in a good mood! It really does help. But more importantly, make sure you're well fed, well rested and well hydrated. Don't be hungover, don't do drugs or drink before hand. Moisturizing and gently exfoliating a few days leading up to your tattoo can be very helpful and soften the skin. Taking a shower day of is always appreciated! And make sure you bring water, a sugary beverage and a facorite snack! We keep stuff on hand too!
Can I bring entertainment for myself?
Absolutely! Just be mindful that there are other people in the shop and don't do anything you wouldn't want done to you while you're being tattooed. If you want music or to watch your phone or play your switch, just bring some headphones! This also applies to friends. One visitor is fine, but please don't bring a bunch of people to your appointment. Lots of people gets distracting for everybody.
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable! You want something that will allow ease of access to the placement; consider how it rolls up, or if you'll need to wear specific undergarments or not. Tattoo shops are usually kept a little cool so if you're someone who gets cold, make sure to bring fuzzy socks or a blanket you can keep up out of the way of the tattoo placement.
Numbing Cream
I may allow numbing cream use at my discretion. If you're comfortable with a specific brand you've used before, feel free to bring it along. Kindly inform me in advance for appointment adjustment. I highly recommend TKTX as it's shown fewer reactions and more positive responses. Do your research, review, and be cautious of Amazon products. Any reactions to your personal numbing treatment are not my responsibility.
Stay well-informed.

Other Things
How should I care for my tattoo?
I use a semi-occlusive bandage system, sometimes referred to as "Saniderm". I use Dynerex Bandages, which are from a medical supllier or I can give non-adherent gauze bandages to any one who prefers or requires a non adhesive alternative. You can find all the information about what I use and how to care for your piece here.
How far in advance should I book?
I typically book 30-90 days in advance. It is unlikely that I will be able to work you in short notice.
