HI! I'm Danica! I'm so glad to see you here! Let me just give you some information about who I am!

Art has always been a huge part of my life. I was raised in the 90s by a mother who was a significant influence on me, nurturing my artistic endeavors and sharing her own knowledge and expertise. I spent my childhood drawing mermaids, fairies, animals and lots of horses and unicorns. Growing up, I focused more on "fine art" and became a realism artist, primarily working with portraits, landscapes and animals. I picked up many different mediums throughout my life, always eager to learn something new. These range from pencil, colored or graphite, paints, acrylic, watercolor, oil, to clay and even fiber crafts like embroidery or crochet.

The first 20 years of my life were spent in rural Vermont. My exposure to tattoos, was limited, however I was introduced to the industry through television series and through that I became enamored with the idea of learning. Despite a brief and pointless detour into tattoo school, I sought out to find a legitimate apprenticeship. In 2013, I was accepted by a mentor and started my real journey. My education was transformative, my mentor specialized in American Traditional, and it challenged me and reshaped my artistic approach. Throughout my years, my technique progressed into blending traditional with realism and illustrative styles, and incorporating bright and vibrant colors to make anime, watercolor, traditional and pop-culture inspired pieces.

Tattoos for me have always been about self-expression and empowerment. I strive to help individuals embrace their bodies, fostering confidence through art. I love creating coverups and reworking old/unwanted tattoos, these types of work hold a special place in my heart, as they allow me to help people move past regrets, get cathartic healing, or just outgrow their pasts. I believe tattoos serve as a powerful means of self expression and body celebration, and quite literally is like wearing our hearts on our sleeves.

Beyond tattooing, I continue to indulge in art, sharing my life with my partner in Asheville alongside our three cats, dog, and some reptile companions. Video games, movies, and exploring Asheville's vibrant restaurant scene are some of our favorite activities. â€‹
